- What?! If you do that you'll get no compression. On a 28.8 modem the baud rate
- should be set to 57600 at least. A good value for a 14.4 is 38400.

- Error correction must be on or you'll get nowhere. Software control should be
- off and hardware on, as said earlier. Also make sure you use a good serial
- device, such as 8n1.device. This provides better links than the standard device
- - I can get ftp at 1.7k/sec while on IRC on my 14.4 modem.
